On the signing of the Programme of Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of India in the Field of Culture for 2023-2025

Today, on November 9, 2023 the signing ceremony of the Programme of Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of India in the Field of Culture for 2023-2025 was held at the Ministry of Culture of India.

On behalf of Belarus the Programme was signed by H.E. Mr. Andrei Rzheussky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to India, and on behalf of India by Shri Govind Mohan, Secretary of the Ministry of Culture of India.

“The cultural ties between our countries, as well as people-to-people ties have a big significance. Today's agreement promotes further deepening of mutual cooperation and familiarization with the cultural traditions of Belarus and India”, the Belarusian Ambassador said.

In accordance with the signed Programme of Cooperation, it is planned to hold the Culture Days of India in Belarus and the Culture Days of Belarus in India, exchange of musical and artistic groups, mutual participation in various competitions and festivals.

The Programme provides cooperation between theaters, museums, galleries and libraries of the two countries, organization of mutual exhibitions and the exchange of experts.

As Shri Govind Mohan mentioned the implementation of this Programme projects will extend the entire spectrum of Belarusian-Indian cooperation in the cultural and entertainment sphere, as well as increase the attractiveness of our countries for tourism and other trips.
