Trade and Economic cooperation

The Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh on Trade and Economic Cooperation entered into force in May 2012. As part of this agreement, the Joint Belarusian-Bangladesh Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was established, the first meeting of which was held on April 23, 2019, in Minsk.
The implementation of the framework agreement between the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh on the provision of export loans, which resulted in the signing of a contract for the supply of Amkodor road construction equipment to Bangladesh worth $50 million, laid a solid foundation for the development of long-term cooperation.
The main promising commodity items of Belarusian export to Bangladesh are potash and nitrogen fertilizers, dry and condensed milk and cream, whey, road construction equipment, electric buses, petrochemical products, wood processing products, insulated wires and cables, paints and varnishes based on synthetic polymers, prefabricated building structures, wood pulp, products made of ferrous materials, grain drying plants, elevators, other grain and/or fruit storage facilities, food products, transformers and other equipment for the development of the power transmission network.
