Legal Framework of Bilateral Relations

The legal framework of bilateral relations is currently under development. It includes intergovernmental agreements on trade and economic cooperation; on the promotion and mutual protection of investments; on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion with respect to taxes on income and property (capital); on the provision of preferential export credits; on the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic and service passports; on cooperation in the field of education; on cooperation in the field of science and technology; memoranda of understanding between the Ministries of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, between the Academy of Management of the President of the Republic of Belarus and the Diplomatic Academy of Bangladesh, Agreement on Cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Bangladeshi Academy of Sciences in Scientific Field, other agreements.

The Sides are considering drafts of intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of peaceful uses of nuclear energy, Memorandum of Understanding between the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus and the Supreme Court of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on Cooperation and Exchange of Legal Information; interministerial agreement on cooperation in the field of culture; intergovernmental agreement on mutual protection of classified information; memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on Cooperation in the Field of Electricity.
