Trade and Economic cooperation

Trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and Nepal has significant potential.
In previous years, the Ambassadors of the Republic of Belarus to India and Nepal, A.I. Rzheussky (2019) and M.M. Kasko (2025), visited Nepal. During these visits, meetings were held with the President of Nepal and the leadership of Nepalese ministries and agencies to enhance political, trade, economic, and humanitarian cooperation. The events highlighted Nepal's interest in expanding political dialogue with Belarus, diversifying trade, and deepening further cooperation in agriculture, forestry, military-technical, education, and other fields. To accelerate efforts to increase and diversify exports to Nepal, a working visit by Ajay Raj Sumargi Parajuli, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in Kathmandu, Nepal, to the Republic of Belarus was organized from February 21 to March 15, 2026. During the visit, the National Export Support Center and the Honorary Consul organized meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the management of the Great Stone China-Belarus Industrial Park, as well as visits to the following organizations and enterprises: MTZ OJSC; Kommunarka OJSC; and Minsk Crystal OJSC.
Nepal represents a promising market for a number of Belarusian-made goods, in particular, tractors and small- and medium-duty agricultural machinery, trucks, and quarry trucks for infrastructure projects.
Promising niches include food and dairy processing equipment, pharmaceuticals, energy components, as well as IT education, software development, and agricultural consulting services.
