On the Meeting of the Ambassador of Belarus with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka

On July 10, 2026, the Ambassador of Belarus to India and Sri Lanka (concurrently) met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, Vijith Herath. During the talks, the parties discussed current issues of cooperation, including the signing of a Roadmap for the Development of Key Areas of Cooperation, the holding of an intergovernmental commission, and political consultations between the Republic of Belarus and Sri Lanka. The Minister noted the high importance of Belarusian-Sri Lankan relations and expressed his intention to agree on dates for the IGC and political consultations in the near future. The parties also discussed prospects for cooperation in education and aviation.
