On the meeting of the Ambassador of Belarus to India M.M. Kasko with the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee

On February 6, 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of India Mikhail Kasko met with Smt. Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of the State of West Bengal, India.

The Head of the diplomatic mission emphasized Belarus’ long-term experience in working with the State of West Bengal, where the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Belarus in Kolkata has been operating for more than 20 years, contractual supplies and maintenance of mining equipment to mining enterprises in the state and expressed interest in expanding such supplies in the future, as well as in developing interregional cooperation in various fields in general.

M. Kasko invited Smt. Mamata Benerjee to pay an official visit to the Republic of Belarus.

In turn, the Chief Minister of the State gave a positive assessment of the actions of the Belarusian side and noted the mutual interest in developing interregional cooperation.
