On the meeting of the Ambassador of Belarus Andrei Rzheussky with Minister of State for External Affairs, Government of India, M. Lekhi

On April 5, 2023 Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of India Andrei Rzheussky met with the Minister of State for External Affairs, Government of India, M. Lekhi. The meeting focused on a wide range of issues of bilateral relations.

The parties discussed the progress and results of the implementation of the provisions of the protocol of the 11th Session of the Belarusian-Indian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation, held on November 10, 2022 in New Delhi, India. Specific agreements were reached on acceleration of the implementation of joint plans to develop cooperation in the fields of insurance, pharmaceuticals and medicine, as well as light industry.

The diplomats also touched upon the issues of mutual support in international organizations, including the UN, as well as the topic of entry of the Republic of Belarus into the SCO.

During the meeting, the invitation for M. Lekhi to pay a visit to the Republic of Belarus this year was renewed. Such visit was proposed to be combined with participation in the 32nd International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar – 2023”.
