Ambassador of Belarus to India and Bangladesh (concurrently) Mikhail Kasko met with the leadership of the Government of Bangladesh

On April 28, 2026, during a working visit to the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of India and concurrently to the People's Republic of Bangladesh Mikhail Kasko held a number of key meetings with members of the country's government.

The busy agenda included talks with Dr. Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, Adviser to the Prime Minister (with Ministerial status) — Adviser (with status of Minister) — Ministry of Finance & Ministry of Planning of Bangladesh, H.E. Mohammed Aminur Rashid, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Bangladesh, and H.E. Shama Obaed Islam, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh.

During the meetings, the parties discussed in detail the current state and prospects for developing bilateral cooperation, noted with satisfaction the continuity of strong ties between Minsk and Dhaka, and reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening friendly relations. During discussions with the leadership of relevant ministries, priority areas of work for the future were identified.

The parties discussed improving and expanding the bilateral legal framework, which should create additional conditions for simplifying business contacts and developing comprehensive ties.

The negotiations took place in a traditionally friendly and constructive atmosphere. Following the visit, a commitment to continuing active contacts at all levels to implement the planned activities was confirmed.
