The Belavia plane performed its first regular flight to the Indian capital

August 12, 2023 will be remembered as one of the most important in the history of Belarusian-Indian relations – the opening of direct flights between the capitals Minsk and New Delhi.

In his welcoming speech Ambassador of Belarus to India Andrei Rzheussky noted that for more than 30 years Belarusian-Indian relations have consistently become friendly, constructive and trusting. Belarus considers India as its important partner. The development of comprehensive cooperation with India is one of the main priorities of Belarus’ foreign policy. Direct flights between Minsk and New Delhi, operated by “Belavia”, will become an air bridge connecting two friendly nations.

The solemn event dedicated to the opening of the direct flight was attended by the State Minister for External Affairs of India Smt. Meenakashi Lekhi, representatives of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and the airport of New Delhi, tour operators.
