During the meeting, the parties focused on discussing current issues of cooperation in civil aviation. The head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission noted that the launch of direct charter flights from Belarus to Sri Lanka in October 2025 is a significant event and a wonderful gift for the citizens of both countries in the run-up to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Sri Lanka.

The parties also agreed to move forward in this direction and to sign an Air Services Agreement in the near future, which will enable the launch of regular air service between Minsk and Colombo. This will enable citizens of both countries to travel quickly and comfortably between the two capitals and will serve as a valuable impetus for the development of cooperation in education, tourism, and the economy.
