On the norms of the legislation of the Republic of Belarus for foreign citizens and stateless persons entering the country

Attention, foreign citizens

intending to visit the Republic of Belarus

Upon entering and staying in the territory of the Republic of Belarus,
you are obliged to:

  • comply with the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus
    and other legislative acts, respect state symbols of the Republic of Belarus and its national traditions;
  • register at the place of your temporary stay in the Republic of Belarus within 10 days (citizens of the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Estonia, and the United Arab Emirates within 30 days);
  • reside in the Republic of Belarus only at the place of temporary stay where you are registered;
  • when changing the place of temporary stay, register at the new place
    of your temporary stay within 3 working days of your arrival at the new location;
  • have sufficient funds to cover costs of your stay in the Republic
    of Belarus and your departure from the Republic of Belarus;
  • have a valid passport and a document confirming the legality of your stay in the Republic of Belarus.
  • provide these documents at the request of officials of the internal affairs authorities, state security authorities, border service authorities, and customs authorities.

 

Procedure for registering at the place of your temporary stay
in the Republic of Belarus

• If you plan to stay at a hotel, sanatorium, resort, or health organization,
or at an agro-ecotourism facility, you don’t need to register for the period of your stay at these locations;

• If you plan to stay with your friends or relatives, or rent accommodation
on your own, you must contact the citizenship and migration unit at the place of your temporary stay or register online on the Unified Portal of Electronic Services

Please note

Foreign citizens who violate the rules of staying in the Republic of Belarus are subject to administrative liability in the form of a fine or deportation from the country for up to 5 years (Article 24.35 of the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Administrative Offenses).

Foreign citizens who have committed crimes or administrative offenses
in the Republic of Belarus, including:

  • causing bodily harm;
  • petty theft;
  • hooliganism;
  • drinking alcoholic beverages and appearing in a public place while intoxicated;
  • violation of traffic rules, including driving a vehicle by a person who does not have a driving license, as well as driving a vehicle while intoxicated
    or under the influence of drugs;
  • other unlawful acts;

additional measures may be applied, such as:

  • expulsion from the Republic of Belarus for up to 10 years;
  • cancellation of a temporary (permanent) residence permit;
  • refusal to register, extend, and/or reduction of the period of temporary stay
    in the Republic of Belarus;
  • refusal to enter the Republic of Belarus for up to 10 years, and for some violations, up to 30 years.
