The Ambassador of Belarus together with diplomats of the Belarusian mission in India took part in the Ped Maa ke Naam 2.0
19.09.2025On September 18, 2025, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to India M. Kasko, along with diplomats from the Belarusian mission in India, participated in an event dedicated to the celebration of Van Mahotsav 2025 and the “Ek Ped Maa ke Naam 2.0” (“Plant a tree in your mother's name”) initiative of Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. As part of this initiative, trees were planted in honor of mothers in the Central Ridge forest reserve in Delhi.
The celebrations for Van Mahotsav 2025 officially began on July 3, 2025, on the Central Ridge in Delhi, when Rekha Gupta, the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Delhi, planted a tree in honor of her revered mother. Since then, themed tree planting events have been held at 14 key locations across the city. They were attended by distinguished ministers, members of parliament and thousands of citizens who planted trees in memory of their mothers.
On September 18, 2025, in addition to the Belarusian delegation, diplomats from 70 countries participated in the event, as well as the Honourable Minister of Environment Bhupender Yadav, the Honourable Chief Minister of Delhi Rekha Gupta and the Minister of Environment Singh Sirsa.
Through such projects, the authorities of the Indian capital are drawing the attention of the people of Delhi to the importance of everyone's participation in caring for the environment and combating global warming.
