President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated President of India Draupadi Murma and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Independence Day. 
“India is celebrating this holiday as the most dynamic major economy in the world. Your country is confidently moving forward, preserving its cultural identity and strengthening its international positions. Successes in the areas of technology, education and export serve as an example for other countries,” the congratulatory message to the President of India reads.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that the dialogue between Minsk and New Delhi is yielding results and noted the positive trend towards growth in bilateral trade in goods and services. “I take this special opportunity to confirm my invitation to you to visit Minsk at a convenient time to get acquainted with Belarus' potential in various areas and identify promising areas of international cooperation,” the Belarusian leader emphasized.
In his congratulations to the Prime Minister of India, the President of Belarus noted the active work on forming an economic and political base for the two countries to reach the level of strategic partnership: favorable conditions have been created for increasing trade and economic ties, progress has been achieved in implementing joint projects — the locomotives of bilateral cooperation, including in the industrial, pharmaceutical and defense sectors.
“I am convinced that we will continue to make every possible effort to expand ties through the successful implementation of joint projects,” continued Alexander Lukashenko. “I hope to meet you next year on the BRICS platform in the Indian capital.”
