Belarus-India Industrial Forum held in New Delhi

The Belarus-India Industrial Forum was held in New Delhi on 17 March, 2023. It was led by Deputy Industry Minister Dmitry Kharitonchik.

The event took place under the auspices of the Confederation of Indian Industry. The forum was co-organized by the National Center for Marketing and  Price Study of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

The Belarusian delegation was represented by Belkommunmash, Minsk Automobile Plant, Minsk Tractor Works, Gomselmash and Lidagroprommash.

Dmitry Kharitonchik showcased Belarus' industrial and export potential. Negotiations were held with more than 60 representatives of the Indian business community. The Indian Side positively assessed the potential of Belarusian manufacturers and expressed its readiness to expand contacts.

There was also a meeting of Dmitry Kharitonchik with R.S. Thakur, the Additional Secretary of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India. The Sides discussed the state and prospects of interaction and joint projects in the manufacturing sector. It was agreed that an Indian industry delegation will return a visit to Belarus. India pledged support for mutually beneficial joint projects in the manufacturing sector in India.
