The Ambassador of Belarus to India took part in consultations with representatives of Belarusian enterprises on issues of working in foreign markets
31.07.2025On July 30, 2025, the Minsk International Exhibition Center hosted annual consultations between representatives of Belarusian enterprises and heads of diplomatic missions of the Republic of Belarus on issues of working in foreign markets. The event traditionally arouses great interest among domestic businesses.
During the event, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of India Mikhail Kasko answered a number of questions from journalists.
According to him, most often businesses contact the Embassy to obtain information about markets, their capacity, check the reliability of trading partners, and select a counterparty. Issues of supply logistics and payment are also discussed.
“India is the largest country in the world in terms of population, which has been growing at an average rate of 8% per year over the past 5 years. The growth of the Indian economy gives our manufacturers the opportunity to integrate and offer their goods and services of the widest range. At the same time, the dynamics of trade turnover over the past two years has been positive: growth is observed mainly due to Belarusian exports of goods and services,” the Ambassador noted.
Thus, the head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission in India noted that Belarus supplies a wide range of products to India. These are agricultural products, machine tools, equipment, woodworking products, and light industry products. Nevertheless, according to Mikhail Kasko, exports cannot and should not be limited to these areas. The more Belarus is present and aware of its place in the Indian market, the more new opportunities open up for our country.
