Trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal is not large-scale yet.
The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Belarus operates in the city of Kathmandu, the Honorary Consul is Mr. Ajeya Raj Sumargi Parajuli.

In 2021, trade with Nepal increased to 0.16 million USD (186.0 percent), of which exports increased to 0.13 million USD (294.0 percent), imports decreased to 0.03 million USD (79 .9 percent). The trade balance remained positive — 0.1 million USD.

During the visit of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in Nepal Mr. A.R. Sumargi Parajuli to Minsk for the South Asian Regional Seminar of Honorary Consuls in in August 2019, two promising projects were proposed by the Nepalese side: the creation of a joint production of hard liquors using Himalayan spring water as well as the use of Belarusian equipment in the construction of a cement plant owned by Mr. A.R. Sumargi Parajuli.
The accreditation visit of Ambassador Andrei Rzheussky to Nepal was held on September 9 — 13, 2019. During the visit Ambassador met Hon’ble President of Nepal, the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, of the Ministry of Industry, as well as the Confederation of Nepalese Industry, the Federation of Nepal Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Chief Minister of the Province No. 3 of Nepal, and the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Province No. 3 in Hetauda. Meetings and negotiations made it possible to bring to the Nepalese side information on the wide export, industrial, scientific and other opportunities of the Republic of Belarus, to demonstrate the interest of the Belarusian side in cooperation with Nepal.
In order to develop trade and economic cooperation, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is exploring the possibility of a visit by business circles of Nepal to Belarus.
In 2021, the export of Belarusian services to Nepal amounted to 26.6 thousand USD (92.4 percent by 2020). Of these, almost half was the export of computer, telecommunications and information services for 11.4 thousand USD (an increase of 3.2 times), services were also provided in the field of education for 6.9 thousand USD (56.6 percent compared to 2020 ), health care services by 4.5 thousand USD (54.2 percent). The balance of Belarusian-Nepalese trade in services is positive and amounted to 25.8 thousand USD at the end of 2021.
