Ambassador of Belarus A. Rzheussky took part in the conference

After a long break caused by restrictions on holding of mass events in India due to the fear of the spread of coronavirus infection, on September 20, 2021, the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry PHD hosted the Second International Conference and Exhibition on cooperation between the CIS countries and the Republic of India in a hybrid format (in person and in the videoconference mode) with the participation of heads of foreign missions of the CIS countries in the Republic of India (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan). Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan were represented by counsellors. The Ambassador of India to Belarus A.R. Jha. also took part in the event.

 

 

Ambassador of Belarus A. Rzheussky presented a report on the topic: “International trade and investment opportunities for Indian business in Belarus”, which reflected the achievements in bilateral trade and economic cooperation in recent years, perspective areas of further cooperation, in particular the supply of products of the agro-industrial sector and electric transport, as well as the investment attractiveness of Belarus for Indian businessmen.

 

 

 Ambassador of India to Belarus A.R. Jha, in his turn, informed in details about the investment climate in the Republic of Belarus, about  created investment infrastructures (FEZ and SEZ) and preferential terms for doing business at these zones, about the most perspective areas of cooperation — energy, electric transport, agricultural machinery, processing of agricultural and other food products, construction, educational services, tourism. The organizational issues of Indian business visit to Belarus by the end of this year was also discussed.

 

 

Ten Belarusian enterprises of various forms of ownership were announced to participate in the event in the B2B format. They hold fruitful interactive meetings with potential Indian partners. During the negotiations specific agreements were reached on certain areas of cooperation.
