Handling of Belarusian books to the National Library of India

On January 21, 2019 in Kolkata in a solemn atmosphere in the presence of the diplomatic corps, Indian public circles and media, the Honorary Consul of Belarus in Kolkata Sitaram Sharma on behalf of the Belarusian side handed a 21 tome facsimile edition of “The Book Heritage of Francysk Skaryna” to the Director General of the National Library of India Shrawan Kumar.
The Book Heritage of Francysk Skaryna was published on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of Belarusian book printing and was donated to the National Library of India as part of the Cooperation Program between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of India in the Field of Culture for 2018-2019.
