Ambassador of Belarus presented copies of his credentials in Bangladesh

On June 26, 2019, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of India and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh (concurrently) Mr. Andrei Rzheussky handed copies of the credentials to the Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Mr. A.K.M. Shahidul Karim. During the event which was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh the Ambassador paid an introductory visit to the Presidential Palace of Bangladesh Bangabhaban, as well as held the meeting with the Director General of Eastern Europe and the CIS countries Mr. Md. Daud Ali.
During the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in developing political, trade, economic and humanitarian relations between the two countries. A high level of political contacts between Belarus and Bangladesh was noted, and plans for the further preparation of bilateral events on a high and the highest level were outlined.
On the same day, Andrei Rzheusky held working meetings with the Minister of Commerce and Co-Chairman of the Belarusian-Bangladesh Joint Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation Mr. Tipu Munshi, the Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives Mr. Md.Tazul Islam (MP) as well as the State Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives  Mr. Swapan Bhattacharjee and discussed with them the issues of bilateral trade and economic agenda.
